He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Patterson and Minnie Patterson; his siblings, Ralph (Mickie Patterson) and Ruth (Jack Ridenhour); his niece Phyllis Ridenhour; his great-nieces, Melissa and Melanie Chandley; and his sibling-in-law Rev. Elven.
He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Marie Patterson (Corey Paris); his wife Penny Marie Curtis; his siblings-in-law, Shirley (Gary Bearce) and James (Janis Curtis); and his nieces and nephews, Stephen, Linda Patterson, Martha, Mark Chandley, Aimee Curtis, Jennifer, Greg Bundy, Evan, Romalyn Bearce, Katie and Ryan Janes.
