He was predeceased by: his daughter Leann Jarrett (Atkisson); and his siblings, Aaron Atkisson, Brian Atkisson, Billie Smith (Atkisson), Marcie Atkisson and Peggy Hart Evans (Atkisson).
He is survived by: his wife Eve Atkisson (Evans); and his children, Laura O'Keefe (Matt) and Alan Atkisson. He is also survived by five grandsons and three great grandchildren.
