He is survived by: his wife Rheannon Pijl (Mykleby); his children, Alexander Hendrikus Pijl and Annalisa Martina Pijl; his stepchildren, Diana Rose Fowler and Kristian Lawrence Fowler; his stepgrandchild Kaj Piccardt; his daughter Sofie Piccardt; his siblings, Richard Pijl, Harry Pijl, Marieke Baptiste-Pijl of The Netherlands, Belgium and Bonaire; and his father Richard Ignatius Lucas Pijl. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
