He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Arthur and Emma Arthur (Roader); his siblings, Ted, Jim, Ray Arthur and Dortha Harris; and also Shawn McDonald (Arthur).

He is survived by: his wife Wilma Arthur (Maxwell); his son-in-law Tom McDonald of Rolla; his daughters, Shannon (Travis Baker) of Rolla and Kim (Wes Parker) of Rolla; his grandchildren, Emma (Tyler Murphy), Tommie McDonald, Makayla, Allyson Baker, Bailey, Shelby, Addie Parker and Jacob McDonald; and his sister Marjorie Green of Rolla.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to either Little Prairie Bible Camp or the Shawn Kelly McDonald 4H Scholarship Fund.
