He was predeceased by: his father George John Merrick, Sr.; and his siblings, David Merrick and Susan McQueen. He is survived by: his children, Jack Merrick (Jami) of New London, MO, Rebecca Parker (Brandon) of Rolla, MO and Georgia Merrick of Ft. Valley, VA; his stepchildren, Michael Clayton (Juan Torres) of St. Louis, MO and Jessica Muller (Phillip) of Independence, KS; his grandchildren, Matthew, Aiden, Gabriel, Artemis, Maverick and Remington; his sisters, Mary Jane Brown (Dave) of Steelville, MO and Cheryl Merrick of Bourbon, MO; and his former wife Theresa Merrick. He is also survived by four nieces and nephews; seven great nieces and nephews.
