He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell T. Carrell and Bettie Arlene Duncan Carrell; and his sister Gwendolyn Sue Carrell. He is survived by: his wife Terri Jean Shive Carrell of Rolla; his son Burke Carrell (Allyson) of St. James; his siblings, Greg Carrell (Brenda) of Jefferson City, MO., Garvin Carrell (Denise) of Spokane, Gerald Carrell of Cuba, Gina Carpenter of St James and Amber Ward of Texas; and his grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Cady and Benjamin.
