We bid farewell to Darlene Kay Strickland of Rolla, Missouri, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 29, 2024 at the age of 79. Darlene Kay touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Houston Leroy King and Helen Mae King (Bowen); and her siblings, Gerald King and Carolyn Davis. She is survived by: her husband Richard Strickland of Rolla, MO; her children, Terry Barnett of Rolla, MO, Randy Barnett of Rolla, MO and Lisa Loy (Chris) of McKinney, TX; her stepdaughters, Alison Wagle (Nanad) of San Francisco, CA and Emily Strickland of New York, NY; her siblings, Woody King of Rolla, MO, Edith Johnson of Rolla, MO, Judy O'Connor of Ashland, MO, Brenda Drew of Rolla, MO and Jeanie Melton of Rolla, MO; her grandchildren, Ashley Clark, Josh, Carson Loy, Ryan Loy and Kaylen Loy; and her great grandchildren, Jakob Clark, Abby Clark, Ben Clark and Ellis Loy. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Null & Son Funeral Home (1010 Kingshighway, Rolla, MO 65401). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
