He was predeceased by: his former wife Rebecca Carroll; his children, Cathy, Keith, Paul, Laurie and Cindy; and his sisters, Florence, Betty, Flora and Laura.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his granddaughters, Barb, Sandy, Melissa, Angie, Julie and Deanna; his siblings, Fannie Watson and Randall Vanover (Jeanie); and his sister-in-law Donna Hatfield. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Arnold's memory are suggested to the Ft. Wyman Baptist Church or Disabled American Veterans.
