He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Marvin and Ruth Burnett (Bosarge); and his siblings, Helen Marie Nabb, Avon Burnett, Carl Burnett, Wilma Jean Scott, Eul Burnett and June Rose Burnett.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Burnett; his children, Elizabeth Ann Burnett-Webster of Rocky Comfort and James Dean Burnett (Becky) of Rocky Comfort; his siblings, Billy, Vicki Burnett of Goshen, Ted Burnett of Boiling Springs, Patricia and John Anderson of Blue Springs, Missouri; his grandchildren, Alexandria Burnett-Hoover (Joe), Christine Webster-Simpkins (Tom), Bryan Burnett, Daniel Boone Webster Brock (Jazel), Brandon James Burnett (Mandy) and Luka Lee; his great grandchildren, Sybil Simpkins, Chase Hoover, Maddison Webster, Violet Webster and Brodie Burnett; his stepgrandchildren, Whitney Hoover and Austin Hoover; his grandsons, Brock Burnett, Tom Simpkins, Brandon Burnett and Joe Hoover; and his nephew Chris Brock.
Marvin served on several boards to include, Board of Directors for Economic Security Corporation, Crowder College Foundation and the Soil and Water Conservation Board; he was also the Director of the Summer Ball Program in Rocky Comfort for 18 years.
