He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Edie and Idd Edie; his former wife Peggy Merle Smith; his children, Tracy, Shawn and Shelly; and his sister Sue.
He is survived by: his wife Amanda Ruth Samuels; his children, William Scott Edie of Rocky Comfort, Missouri and Terry Scates (Terry) of Rocky Comfort, Missouri; his stepsons, Larry Gann (Paula) of Verona and Wayne Gann (Jo Ann) of Memphis, Tennessee; and his siblings, Marlee Edie (Johnnie) of Cassville, Mansel Edie (Debbie) of Halltown, Missouri, Mary Claypool of Cassville, Ginger Hancock of Springfield and Johnnie Loftin of Prague, Oklahoma. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
