He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest L. Jones and Dessie M. Jones (Reppond); his son Leonard M. Jr.; his wife Peggy Carlene Nichols; his daughter Sandra Lynn Houseknecht; and his siblings, J. B., Homer, Cleon, Earlon Jones and Theolalene Jackson of Texas.
He is survived by: his children, Jacquetta D. (David), Bradley A. Peggy (Laurajean), Debby Miller (Ken) and Pamela Smith; his grandchildren, Billy Joe Jones, Joseph Jones (Chelsea), Elizabeth Jones, Jennifer L. Blakeman, Brandon Blakeman (Kirsten), Steven Jones and Carlene Jones; his stepgrandson Samuel Miller (Karen); his great grandchildren, Zachary, Anneliese Clauson, Trevor, Christian Jones, Adam, Alan Penn, Cassondra Chagnon, Lorelai, Hayden Jones, Lia and Mara Blakeman Portland; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Ethan, Hannah, Reed, Claire and Grant Miller; and his sister Dorthy M. Quintero. He is also survived by six great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rock Port Baptist Church (217 N Main St, Rock Port, MO 64482). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
