It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmie Joe DeLong of Rock Port, Missouri, born in Percival, Iowa, who passed away on March 12, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe DeLong and Mabel DeLong (Mooney); his children, Scott and Sandra DeLong; and his sisters, Anna, Ilene, Geraldine, Ruby and Carolyn.
He is survived by: his stepgrandchildren, Jeff Dishong, Kristina, Jeremy and Micheal Ohl; his wife Barbara DeLong (Osborn) of Rock Port, MO; his stepchildren, Rick Wilson (Julie) of Rock Port, MO, Rod Wilson (Peg) of Hamburg, IA, Robert "Buzz" Wilson (Lynette) of Plattsmouth, NE and Roxann Dishong of Amarillo, TX; his grandson Joel DeLong of Kansas City, MO; and his siblings, Henry DeLong of Shenandoah, IA, Steve DeLong of Red Oak, IA, Mary Lou Honea of Mound City, MO, Norma Bode of Ozark, MO, Tony DeLong of Springfield, MO and Paul DeLong of Springfield, MO. He is also survived by 15 step-grandchildren and 25 step-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Linden Christian Church at rural Rock Port, MO.
