She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Cowan and Ola Cowan (Lewallen); and her brother-in-law Joseph Powell. She is survived by: her son Jeff Powell; her daughter-in-law Amanda Powell of Auburn, Neb.; her daughter Kelly Chard of Rock Port; her grandchildren, Ashley Currie (John), Trenton Powell (Nicole), Josh Baughman and Lexi Chard; her great grandchildren, Wyatt, Delanye, Justice Currie and Calliegh Marriot; her siblings, Glyndal Cowan (Kathy) of Bartlesville, Wyndal Cowan (Marla) of Duncan, Oklahoma and Sharon Cowan of Duncan; and her nieces and nephews, Christy Johnson, Jeana Meadows, Cary Todd Drummond, James Cowan, Melissa Cowan, Gayla Franklin, Mike Cowan and Angela Groves.
