He was predeceased by: his parents, Claud Burns and Floyd Wilkerson; and his sister Bernice Greiner. He is survived by: his wife Judith Colleen Phillips; and his children, Thomas Batterton III, Matthew Burns (Nicole), Sara Holohan, Jennifer Whitworth (Jamie) and Belva Blair (Michael). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
