She was predeceased by: her parents, James M. Liles and Grace Liles (Brown); her husband Donald "Dick" Karl; her son Marvin Karl; her siblings, Ellen Louise Young, Geraldine Fitch, JoAnn O'Dell, Mary White, Judith Harris, Harry Liles and Charles Liles; and her nephews, Harry Liles, Jr., James O'Dell and Jimmy Wasmer.
She is survived by: her sister Donna "Lucille" Wicker; and her grandchildren, Kristie Hanse, Raymond, Terri Vanderpool, Jimmy, Jennifer Karl, Ronnie Karl, II, Ryan Karl and Whitney Gooch (Chris Stockton). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Vivian Karl Memorial Fund.
