He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Phillips and Doris Phillips (Hurst); his daughter Carrie Lynne Phillips; and his brother Raymond Phillips. He is survived by: his children, Aaron Phillips (Christine) of Shawnee, KS and Tera Holland (Richard) of Overland Park, KS.. He is also survived by his family and friends.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Richmond First Baptist Church.
