It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Russell Melvin Allen Sr. of Richmond, Missouri, who passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Allen and Edith Allen (Coleman); his siblings, Beverly Allen, Anna Coleman and Leonard Hudson; his stepson Edwin Barnes; his grandson Chase Jones; and his great grandchild Zavara Taylor.
He is survived by: his children, Russell Melvin Allen, Jr., Mildred Rebecca Allen, Verda Rene'Allen, Jameson Nathional Allen and Prince Alonzo Allen; his stepsons, Donald Ellington, Jr. (Latoya) and Damon Ellington (Chiffon); his uncle Lester Allen; his grandchildren, Kameo Lewis, Antonio Allen, Mark Ingraham, Stephone Allen, Tre Allen, Keanna Allen, Kobe Allen, Johnathan Allen, Dakota Allen, Donald Ellington, III, Shikola Ashby, JaChaun Laravie, Myles Jones, Adelynn Ellington, Memphis Ellington, Adrean James and Ny'Didi Barnes; his close friend Florence Cole; and his uncle Arthur Patton. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, and aunts.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St John Cme Church (1625 E Main St, Richmond, MO 64085). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at the Richmond Memory Gardens (1403 E Main St, Richmond, MO 64085).
