He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Pierson and Audrey N. "Aug" Pierson (Winfrey); and his brother Jim Pierson. He is survived by: his former spouse Dotti Jane Skaggs of Richmond; his children, Eric Ron Pierson of Richmond, Patrick Horine Kulkarni Pierson (Tracy) of Richmond and Jill Ann Courter (Adam) of Blue Springs; his grandchildren, Katherine Pierson, Josie Pierson, Molly Pierson, Kendal Courter, Pierson Courter, Paige Utley (Sean), Lexi Pierson and Kain Pierson; his brother Richard Joe "Rick" Pierson (Elizabeth); his sister-in-law Carole Pierson; and his wife Ruth Ann Horine. He is also survived by other extended family members and his many friends.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to TACA (Talk About Curing Autism) in honor of his grandson, Pierson Courter.
