He is survived by: his wife Doris Lucille Calvert of Richmond; his children, Dale Claypole (Beth) of Dearborn, Gale Claypole (Wilma) of Orrick, Regina Barrett (Bill) of Independence and Tanya Dorton (Norman) of Orrick; his sisters, Sarah Fulte of Orrick and Dorothy Sue Lee (Bob) of Orrick; his brother-in-law Donnie Hightower of Excelsior Springs; his grandchildren, Jeremy Barrett (Bonnie), Timmy Herron, Andrea Mathews, Megan Shepard (Eric), Nathan Claypole (Charmaine), Kyle Dorton (Samantha), Mackenzie Pemberton (Jerald) and Scott Dorton (Grace); and his great grandchildren, Christian, Peyton Herron, Riley, Payton Mathews, Caitlin, Candiace, Josie Claypole, Sophie Clevenger, Gannon, Gibson Shepard, Zayne Kaat, Cholee Pemberton, Klayton, Nelson, Lincoln Barrett, Malachi, Matthew, Dominic Dorton and Addie Dorton.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to either the Ray County Veterans or Shirkey Hospice.
