She was loved and cherished by many people including: her grandparents, Austrian, Patty and Michael J. Zahornacky Sr. (Ella Von Heigel) of Milford, CT; her parents, Leroy Wiliam McGovern and Mary Elizabeth McGovern of Stratford, CT; her brother William McGovern; her nephew William McGovern Jr.; her uncles, Michael J. Zahornacky (Dorothy) of Woodmont, CT and Cyril Zahornacky; her aunt Helen; her cousin Doreen Zahornacky; her children, James Joseph McCarthy (Adriana) of Wake Forest, NC, Mary Ellen Reis (Rodney) of Peacham, VT, William John McCarthy (Robin) of Raymore, MO and Christopher Michael (Stacey) of Kearney, MO.; her goddaughter Maria George (Oliva); and her cousin Michael Zahornacky (Deborah) of Shelton, CT. She was also cherished by her 15 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
