He was predeceased by: his parents, Vern E. Vance and Lillian "Florence" Vance (Hessenflow); and his daughter Lyndsey Jo Vance of Kansas City. He is survived by: his spouse Tobi Todd of Harrisonville; his children, Amy Weir (Corey) of Richmond and James Vance (Chandler) of Liberty; his grandchildren, Lilly Yocum, Alex Vance and Bella Weir; his great grandchild Maverick Vance; his stepsons, Josh Higgs (Stacy) of Hardin and Troy Higgs (Rachael) of Blue Springs; his stepgrandchildren, Noah Higgs, Eli Higgs, Amora Higgs, Emberlyn Higgs and Robert Higgs; his brother Mark Vance (Juli) of Leawood, KS; and his pets, Chip and Dale.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Mike Vance Memorial Fund, to be forwarded to the Missouri Trappers Association.
