With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Julia (Groce) Merrifiled of Richmond, Missouri, who passed away on January 25, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandson Andrew Bradley Salyer. She is survived by: her daughter Krista; her son-in-law Dale Salyer of Odessa, MO; her son Donald; her daughter-in-law Ann Merrifield of Columbia, MO.; her grandchildren, John Charles Riling (Shellie) of Independence, MO, Benjamin Hamrah of Columbia, MO, Daniel John Merrifield of Cleveland, OH and Sarah Ann Maguigad (Jack) of St. Louis, MO.; her great grandchildren, Caleb Charles Riling of Independence, MO., Cadyn Lewis Riling of Independence, MO. and Colton Andrew Riling of Independence, MO.; and her great great grandchildren, Beckett Riling, Ramona Riling and Ivy Riling.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the United Methodist Church - Richmond (212 W Main St, Richmond, MO 64085). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at the Richmond Memory Gardens (1403 E Main St, Richmond, MO 64085).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Richmond United Methodist Church, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Missouri, OR PASS (Providing Academic Support for Success).
