He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard William, Sr. and Hazel Adams (Clayton); his daughter Kirsten Leigh Adams; his stepmother Marie Adams; and his brother Howard William Adams, Jr..

He is survived by: his former wife Judy Myers of Springfield, MO; his daughters, Marchelle Fletcher (Dennis) of Hardin, MO, Lorrie Ross of Kansas City, KS, Sherry Baxter (Steve Ewald) of Springfield, MO and Shannon Schroeder (Aaron) of Warrensburg, MO; his sister Sherry Rudasill (Bob) of BellaVista, AR; and his grandchildren, Alison Acree (Brandon), Jeffrey Black (Sarah), Aleigha Cox (David), Melissa Ross, Courtney Ross, Caity Ross, Ryan Ross, Ashley Forte (Justin), Corey Walker (Autumn Thompson), Christopher Baxter, Joshua Whalen, Jessica Whalen, Tyler Schroeder and Braden Schroeder. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
