He was predeceased by: his parents, Clovis Hankins and Mary Hankins (Adams); his wife Helen Elaine Davis of Elkins, WV; and his siblings, Gary Hankins, Timothy Hankins and Cheryl Shimmel.
He is survived by: his children, Chad Hankins (Laurie) of Carrolton, Derek Hankins (Amy) of Camden, James Hankins of Richmond and Amanda Ohrt (Matthew) of Richmond; his sisters, Connie Robinette of Kearney and Carrol Lewellen of Excelsior Springs; and his half-sister Carla Strickland of Hot Springs, AR.. He is also survived by five grandchildren; three step grandchildren; two great grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Veterans Commission (Marine Corp Branch) in Larry's honor.
