He was predeceased by: his parents, Burl Martin and Myrtle Mae Carpenter (Miller). He is survived by: his wife Nina Mae Nickell of Rothville; his children, Douglas Cameron Carpenter (Judy) of Stet, Rita Ann Carpenter of Richmond and David Alan Carpenter (Gaye) of Hardin; his sister Carolyn Sue Bauer (Ted) of Neenah, WI; his grandchildren, Jennifer Wright, Kourtney Carpenter, Whitney Smith (Marshall), Stephanie Carpenter, Lauren Jones (Seth), Leslie Young (John), Lydia DeWeese (Tony), Daniel Carpenter (Samantha), Mark Carpenter (Ragen) and Michael Carpenter; and his great grandchildren, Kinze Wright, Cameron Wright, Aubree Wright, Tucker Smith, Dawson Smith, Carter Jones, Scarlett Jones and Judah Jones.
