She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Smith and Ethel Sadie Smith (Chandler); her former husband William E. Holey, III of Lawrence, KS; and her siblings, Kenny Smith and Edna Marie Creek.

She is survived by: her husband Kenneth L. Chaffin of Gladstone; her children, William E. Holey, IV of Camden, Richard D. Holey, John M. L. Holey and Terylea Hale (George) of Richmond; and her stepchildren, Robert Allen Chaffin (Dawn) of Marshfield, WI, Darlene D. Petri of Marshfield, WI, Donald R. Chaffin of Kearney and Sandra Darwimple (Fred) of Union, TN. She is also survived by eight step grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Kay F. Chaffin Memorial Fund.
