He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Noland and Opal Mae Anderson (Branson); his former wife Barbara J. Wettengel of Richmond; his wife Marilyn Dean Hawkins of Richmond; his siblings, Gerald Anderson, Bobby W. Anderson, Sr., Jackie Dean Anderson, Kenneth Anderson, Shirley Gentry, Barbara J. Swafford and Helen Bandy; his grandson Ryan Anderson; and his daughter Cynthia Anderson.
He is survived by: his children, Rev. Ira Junior Anderson, II (Vicky) of Hardin, Cathy Rogers (Pastor Lynn) of Knoxville and Nancy Rowan (Robert) of Knoxville; his grandchildren, Nathan Anderson (Jennifer), Dustin Anderson (Mandy Grable), Roy Rogers (Elizabeth), Rachel Rice (Jesse), Caleb Rogers (Mandee), Emily Hord (Tim), Daniel Rowan (Jamie), Jeffery Rowan (Megan) and Megan Rives (Josh); his great grandchildren, Ryan Anderson, Brendan Anderson (Marissa), Kadence Anderson, Nicholas Anderson, Eli Anderson, Amelia Rogers, Ruby Rogers, Alexis Watts (Logan), Wyatt Rice, Quinn Rice, Grayson Rice, Della Rice, Mecah Damingo, Bella Rogers, Grace Rogers, Allyson Rogers, Madalyn Rogers, Rebecca Rogers, Dominic Hord, Noah Rowan, Jack Rowan, Adilyn Rives and Colin Rives; and his sister Judy Lowery (Ron) of Wood Heights.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Thurman Funeral Home - Richmond (507 E Main St, Richmond, MO 64085). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at the Richmond Memory Gardens (1403 E Main St, Richmond, MO 64085).
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the PTSD Foundation of America.
