He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Acree and Lucy Acree (Crook); and his sister Kathy Acree. He is survived by: his former wife Kristi E. Farabee of Henrietta; and his children, Matthew Thomas Acree of Richmond and Laura Janelle Acree of Richmond.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Gary Lynn Acree Memorial Fund.
