He was predeceased by: his parents, Kelly Clay and Dortha May Small (Admire); and his brother Daniel Kelly Small. He is survived by: his children, Ryan Clay Small (Alexis) of Smithville and Carla Gottschalk of Kansas City; his grandchildren, Cole Friederich Gottschalk, Clay Dempsey Gottschalk, Sullivan Clay Small and Perry Belle Small; his sister Darlene Ferguson (Jim) of Eldon; his stepchildren, Brian Carter of Richmond and Stephanie Wedgeworth (Troy) of Richmond; his stepgrandchildren, Whitney Bullard (Ross), Kelley Martens and Emily Martens; and his stepgreat-granddaughters, Leah and Josie Bullard. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Mack Attack for Cystic Fibrosis.
