He is survived by: his children, Sheila Talmadge (Gerald) of Maryville, Melinda Reardon (Steve) of Liberty and Matt Vandiver (Christy) of Cedar Park, TX; his grandchildren, Gavin Talmadge (Shayne), Selina Talmadge, Allison Downing (Kody), Bailey Reardon (Jarret Maxwell), Hope Vandiver, Lily Vandiver and Reese Vandiver; his great grandchild Grayson Talmadge; and his brother Richard Vandiver (Dick) of Richmond. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
