It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Earl Leakey of Richmond, Missouri, who passed away on March 12, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David Earl Leakey to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Irl and Clara Mae Leakey (Edgar); his parents-in-law, Everett and Adaline Smith (Allmon); his sister-in-law Janet Ritzinger; and also, Stella Mae, Ruth Leakey, Frances Bugg (Floyd), Earline Hawkins (Earl), Naomi Weisz (Floyd), Mildred Buhrmeister (Gilbert), William "Bill" Leakey (Erlene) and Bonnie Heil (Clarence "Punk").
He is survived by: his sons, David E. Leakey (Kim) of Richmond and J. Todd Leakey (Kathy) of Hardin; his wife Jackie; his grandchildren, Cole Leakey (Abby), Shane Leakey, Stephanie Hughes (Jesse) and Nakisha Leakey; his great grandchildren, Kobe, Kora, Kashlyn Hughes and Ryland Smith; his brother-in-law Robert "Bob" Ritzinger; and his pet Pippi. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Ray County.
