He was predeceased by: his parents, Hurshel Watkins and Alice Watkins (Wright); and his brothers, Hurshel Duane, James Wesley and Tom.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Dan II (Christian) of Cowgill, Jennifer (Chris) of St Louis, Paul Staley (Kim) of Richmond, Samantha (Jason) of Tucson, Ariz., Jessica Staley (Phillip Corwin) of Richmond and Levi Staley (Laura Reed) of Richmond; and his brother Brian Watkins (Marla) of Excelsior Springs. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren who adored their Papa.
