She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Peterson and Lula Miller Peterson; her son Phillip Lowell Wells; and her siblings, Cecil, Leonard, Bill, Dale, Marcia Thornsberry and Mary Lou Crawford.

She is survived by: her brother Robert Peterson of Fair Grove, Missouri; and her adoptive children, Reta Moore of Georgia and Chris Baker of Columbia, Missouri. She is also survived by six nieces and six nephews.
