He was predeceased by: his daughter Kathryn Marie Elmore (Stenger); his parents, Fred and Flora; his siblings, William, Wesley, Betty and Hazel; his former wife Audrey Stenger (Richards); and his granddaughter Amanda Stenger.
He is survived by: his children, Fred Wade Stenger (Doris) of Houston, Donna Sue Story (Stenger) of Houston, John Lee Stenger (Shellie) of Houston and Carl Eugene Stenger (Patty Handley) of Evening Shade, MO.; his wife Helen Stenger (Hough); his stepsons, Lee Hough (Shirley) of Georgia and Charles Hough (Beth) of Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Brent Stenger, Sherry Campbell, Sheila Stenger, Audra Victoria Stenger, Jonathan Edward Stenger, Jennifer Gagliardo, Carla Stenger (Randell), Brian Story, Aaron Story, Anita Rogers, Dusty Hathaway, Landon Elmore, Carle Hough, Kathy Hough, Kristine Hough and JoAnn Hough. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; 21 great grandchildren; and six great great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oak Hill Cemetery or Allen Cemetery.
