He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Newton and Bertha Cook Steward; and his siblings, Bill, Delmar, Bob Steward, Shirley Darlene Allen and Maxine McDaniel.
He is survived by: his brothers, Larry Steward of Richland and Gary Steward of Iberia, Missouri. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
