He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Christian and Lillian Ruth Luchtenburg Flater. He is survived by: his wife Deanna Flater; his sons, Shane Flater (Kassie) of College Station and Jacob Flater of Rich Hill, Missouri; his grandson Kaden Wyatt Flater; and his siblings, Loren Flater (Pat) of Toddville, Brenda Lowery (Del) of Bellingham, Reggy Flater (Linda) of Lincoln City and Tim Flater of Holland, Iowa. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
