He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Elsenraat and Olivia Elsenraat (Hagedorn); his son Bernard Elsenraat; his siblings, Imogene Strassner, Cyril and Eugene Elsenraat; and his brother-in-law Melvin Speckhals.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Elsenraat (Berend); his children, Anthony Elsenraat of Rhineland, Leonard Elsenraat (Jeanne) of Hermann, Alicia Winkelmann (Howard) of Hermann, Daryl Elsenraat (Kim) of St. Paul, Missouri and Christina Massman (Matt) of Jefferson City, Missouri; his daughter-in-law Cathy Elsenraat of Rhineland; his siblings, Ruth Ann Speckhals of Hermann, Missouri and Harold Elsenraat (Jennifer) of Rhineland; and his brother-in-law Leroy Strassner of Hermann. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Rhineland Park or St. Joseph Cemetery.
