He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gilbert and Alleen Garrett (White). He is survived by: his wife Jeannette Garrett (Crull); his son Geoffrey Garrett of Rhineland, Missouri; his siblings, Janet Scavo of Denver, Colorado, Suzanne Grosse (Sonny) of Hermann, Missouri and Garnett Garrett of Rhineland, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Benjamin, Isabel Tiafay, Nicholas and Silas Garrett.

Memorials may be given to church or Bethel Methodist Cemetery.
