It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine A. Elsenraat of Rhineland, Missouri, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on December 25, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Bernard Elsenraat; her father-in-law Sib Elsenraat; and her grandparents, Gilbert, Flora Bartel, Rodney and Viola Chadbourne.
She is survived by: her parents, John Bartel and Nancy Bartel (Chadbourne); her children, Jeff (Christina Elsenraat) of Republic, MO and Jennifer (Tony Herzog) of Bloomsdale, MO; her grandchildren, Paige, Will, Ryan Elsenraat of Republic, MO, Olivia, Avery and Johnathan Herzog of Bloomsdale, MO; her mother-in-law Mary Alice Elsenraat of Rhineland, MO; her brother Rick (Sarah Bartel) of Ashland, MO; her siblings-in-law, Anthony Elsenraat of Rhineland, Leonard (Jeanne Elsenraat) of Hermann, Daryl (Kim Elsenraat) of St. Paul, MO, Alicia (Howard Winkelmann) of Hermann and Christina (Matt Massman) of Jefferson City; her nieces and nephews, Dustin Winkelmann, Emily Allemann, Jody Bock, Tiffany Crutcher, Jake, Nick, Sydney Elsenraat, Brooke and William Massman; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Cecilia, Ellie, Wren, Chase and Chloe.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Bearcat Boosters, Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer, Hermann Hospital Auxiliary, or the cemetery.
