He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold Cecil and Pancy Deer Cecil; his adoptive father George Christy; his wife Wyrene of Revere; his children, Terry Christy of Kahoka, Clayton Christy (Kelli), Fred Christy (Beverly) and Dena Christy (Lee Wayland) of Revere; his sisters-in-law, Ruth Clay of Canton and Leih Ann Hayden of Kahoka; his brothers, Harold Vice and Jim Hayden; his grandson Justin Christy; and his brother-in-law Raymond Clay. He was also cherished by 16 great grandchildren.
Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Peaksville Cemetery.
