Vicky Lynn Girth Obituary
Vicky "Grammy" Lynn Girth was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She left this world on March 28th, 2022, at age 71, surrounded by her family.
She was born to the late Gene and Lorene Boatright on November 5th, 1950. She is remembered by her husband of 52 years Dave, a son Scott and his wife Amy; a daughter Gina; beloved grandchildren Zackery and Destanie; and many more relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother Michael "Mike" Boatright.
Vicky and Dave celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 12, 2019. They spent a year together in Michigan while Dave was in the service until returning and settling in their lifelong home in Republic, MO.
She felt very fortunate to be able to spend time at home raising her children when they were young. When Scott and Gina started school, she began working outside of the home at Security State Bank, and then moved to Mercy's Billing Department until she retired.
She loved her family dearly and she was loved even more. She greatly enjoyed cooking for her family with her daughter and granddaughter, who will cherish those memories forever. Christmas is not Christmas without Grammys favorite recipes. She was an amazing seamstress and enjoyed crocheting blankets and so much more. She was a wise shopper and always loved a good bargain, her grandson once asked her if she ever bought anything that was not on sale! Her family loved to tell her about any good sale they found.
She grew up in a family of truck drivers and was incredibly proud when her son began his own trucking company, Legacy Inc, in honor of her father Gene. Her grandson now follows in their footsteps driving his own truck for the family company.
In lieu of flowers the family asks you to send donations to The American Diabetes Association or The American Heart Association.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Evergreen Cemetery in Republic, Missouri. Dr. Wade Bridges will be officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
