He was predeceased by: his mother Jane Brixey; and his sister Barbara "Bub" Smith. He is survived by: his brothers, Dennis Brixey (Darrell), Darrell Brixey and Johnnie Brixey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Because of Ronnie's love for animals, donations may be made to Republic Animal Shelter in his memory. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Republic Animal Shelter.
