It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Matthew Askren of Republic, Missouri, who passed away on February 26, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Askren and Dorothy Askren (Gertz). He is survived by: his daughter Ashley Davis (Nathan); his grandchildren, Lukas, Elizabeth and Scarlett Davis; and his siblings, Bob Askren (Marylou), Mark Askren, Caroline Goering (Mike), Larry Askren, Chris Askren, Steve Askren (Kathy) and Paul Askren. He is also survived by other extended family and countless friends.
