He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Updike and Virginia Updike (Edwards); his wife Joyce Buttner; and his sisters, Barbara Morris and Clara Marie.
He is survived by: his children, James "Jim" Updike (Patricia) of Republic, MO, Gary Updike (Suzan) of Monett, MO and Debbie Martucci (Carl) of Bradenton, FL. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great greatgrandchild as well as other extended family and friends.
