He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver "Bill" Cooper and Lucille Cooper (Gilbert); and his brother Bill Cooper. He is survived by: his wife Gayle; his children, Courtney Cooper (Julie McDonald), Stephanie Leake (Brian) and Bailey Hornback (Greg); his grandchildren, Taylor Cooper, Morgan Leake, Cooper Hornback and Jude Hornback; and his brothers, Gary Cooper (Tonda) and Chuck Cooper (Lyn). He is also survived by other extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Autism Speaks or Hope Lutheran Church.
