With profound sadness, we say goodbye to David Mathis of Republic, Missouri, born in Morgantown, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. David left this world on October 3, 2024 at the age of 79, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Mathis and Nola Mathis (Hines); and his brother Ray Howard Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Wilson; his son Gerald Mathis (Becky); his grandchildren, Nathan Mathis, Ryan Mathis and Kailey Coiner (Jordan); his great grandchildren, Brecken and Bo Coiner; and his sisters, Barbara Walker, Ina Stafford and Alice Choate. He is also survived by other extended family and countless friends.
