He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Malone and Josephine Malone (Lamphiear); his brother Dave Malone; and his brother-in-law Ed Schleder. He is survived by: his wife Marita Malone of Republic Missouri; his stepsons, Brad Jones, Branden Jones and Brent Jones; his grandchildren, Ty, Kadence and Jett; and his sister Joanne Schleder. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
