He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roy Cates and Charlene Cates (Nelson); his wife Lula Pyatt (Mary); and his daughters, Dawn Zabinski, Jeanne Hanf and Alice Beckett. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren; five great-grandsons; eleven great-granddaughters; and numerous nephews and nieces.
