He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Wendel and Dora Wendel; his daughter Christi; and his grandson Jared. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann; his children, Cheryl, Rick and R. J. (Dede); and his sister Elizabeth Bradley. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Old Union Church.
