He was predeceased by: his parents, Iginia Benedetti and Umberto Benedetti; his parents-in-law, Albert and Esther Ellis; his children, Michael Benedetti and Deborah Benedetti; and his brother Vincent Benedetti.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Ellis Benedetti; his children, Gina Benedetti Heide of Blue Springs, MO, Tina Benedetti King (Mark) of Lee's Summit, MO and John Benedetti II (Angela) of Lee's Summit, MO; his grandchildren, Dale Stolte (Rachel), Chare Heide (Nathan Rowland), Jakob Benedetti (Sarah Davis), Amber Benedetti, Justin Benedetti, Laura Thomasee, Rachel Thomasee and Joseph King; his great grandchildren, Paige Wolfe, Ava Stolte, Caden Rowland and Carter Rowland; and his brother Robert Benedetti (Suzi) of Richland. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
